What Is a Dual-Ended Eyeliner Stamp?

An eyeliner stamp is a liquid eyeliner pen containing two different applicators:

• A pre-shaped stamp for creating a decorative symbol
• A pointed eyeliner tip for lining, refining and adding detail

The stamp deposits the design in one controlled press, while the precision end gives you the freedom to turn it into something entirely your own.

Historically, the inverted cross is also known as the Cross of Saint Peter. According to Christian tradition, Saint Peter asked to be crucified upside down because he did not consider himself worthy to die in the same manner as Jesus. However, many people now associate the symbol with anti-Christian or occult imagery and may not recognise its original meaning. As with any religious or cultural symbol, we recommend considering where you wear it and being aware that others may interpret it differently.

How to Apply an Eyeliner Stamp Cleanly

A good stamped design begins with a little preparation.

1. Prepare the skin

Apply your Stamp Liner to clean, dry skin. Heavy moisturiser, facial oils or a wet layer of concealer can make the stamp move or transfer unevenly.

If your eyelids become oily throughout the day, apply a small amount of eyeshadow primer or lightly set the area with powder first.

2. Test the stamp

Before taking it directly to your eye, test the stamp on the back of your clean hand.

This allows you to check:

• The direction of the design
• How much pressure it needs
• Whether the entire shape is transferring
• How you want to position it around the eye

It also helps you avoid discovering that your bat is flying backwards after it has already landed on your face.

3. Plan the position

Look straight ahead into a mirror and decide where you want your stamp to sit.

If you want matching placement on both sides, mark each intended position with a tiny dot using the pointed liner. Remember that faces are naturally asymmetrical; the aim is visual balance, not mathematical perfection.

4. Press—don’t rock

Place the whole stamp surface against the skin and press it down evenly but softly. Stamping too hard can leave a ring around the design from the stamp backing. 

Lift it away cleanly without twisting, dragging or rocking the pen from side to side. Too much movement can blur the edges or distort the shape.

5. Refine your design

Use the pointed eyeliner end to sharpen any small areas, connect the stamp to your lash line or transform it into a more elaborate look.

Allow the formula to dry before touching the area or layering more makeup over it.

 

The Most Important Rule: Store Your Stamp Liner Flat

Your Stamp Liner contains an applicator at both ends. If it is stored standing upright, gravity can draw more of the liquid towards the lower end, potentially leaving the upper stamp or liner tip less saturated.

For the most consistent performance:

Always store your dual-ended Stamp Liner horizontally, with both caps firmly closed.

Keeping it flat helps the formula remain distributed between both applicators instead of collecting at only one end.

Store it somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight, radiators and other sources of heat. Do not leave it in a hot car or on a sunny windowsill.

And remember: flat is where the magick stays balanced.

Always Replace Both Caps Immediately

Liquid eyeliner begins drying as soon as it is exposed to air.

Replace the cap immediately after using either end, even if you are about to switch back to it. Push each cap on completely to create a proper seal, and avoid leaving the pen loose in a makeup bag where a cap could be knocked off.

Dried product around the rim can also prevent a cap from closing properly. If necessary, carefully wipe the rim with a clean, dry, lint-free tissue before replacing it.

Why Is My Eyeliner Stamp Faint or Patchy?

A faint stamp does not always mean the pen has run out.

First, check whether:

• The pen has been stored upright
• The cap was completely closed
• The entire stamp face touched the skin
• Skincare, oil or unset base makeup is affecting the transfer
• Dried makeup has collected on the stamp surface
• The stamp was twisted or rocked during application

Test it on the back of your clean hand. If the design transfers there but not around the eye, skin preparation or placement is likely causing the problem.

If one end has been pointing upwards for an extended period, close both caps securely and leave the pen lying flat for several hours. This gives the formula time to redistribute between the two ends.

For a stubborn area of dried cosmetic build-up, gently wipe the stamp face with a clean, dry, lint-free tissue. Do not soak the applicator.

Eyeliner “Revival Hacks” to Avoid

Please do not attempt to revive your Stamp Liner by:

• Adding water, oil, setting spray or makeup remover
• Wetting or licking the stamp
• Pulling out the nib
• Soaking the applicator
• Heating the pen
• Repeatedly hitting the stamp against a hard surface

Adding another substance can change the assessed formula and introduce contamination. Pulling, soaking or heating the components may permanently damage the applicator or packaging.

If recapping the pen and allowing it to rest horizontally does not restore its performance, it may be time to replace it.

Stamp Liner Hygiene and Eye Safety

Eyeliner is used close to one of the most sensitive areas of the face, so a few simple precautions matter.

• Do not share your Stamp Liner with another person.
• Do not apply it to broken, sore or irritated skin.
• Avoid direct contact with the eyes.
• Do not use the stamp or liner inside the waterline.
• Keep the stamp surface free from dried makeup.
• Replace both caps immediately after use.
• Stop using the product if irritation occurs.
• Replace it according to the 12M period-after-opening symbol.
• Discard it sooner if its appearance, scent, texture or performance changes unexpectedly.
• Keep it out of the reach of children.

What Is Inside the Formula?

Our black Stamp Liners use a water-based liquid eyeliner formula coloured with black iron oxide. Jojoba oil, shea butter, caprylic/capric triglyceride and plant oils form part of the formula’s emollient base, while carnauba and candelilla waxes help give it structure and support an even application.

Mica contributes to opacity and texture, while glycerin, tocopherol and ascorbic acid complete the formula.
