Witchcraft Foundation Wins a Vegan Beauty Award 🖤
I’m so proud to finally share this…
Witchcraft Foundation by VE Cosmetics has officially won a Vegan Beauty Award.

And this one feels deeply personal. Witchcraft was our very first liquid foundation. Before this, we had worked with powders, and I was very clear that we wouldn’t launch a liquid until we could do it properly. It had to be right and that took time and an understanding credit card company to two.
This had to have the right texture, right ingredients along with the right undertones and
the right performance. We worked alongside our manufacturer for a long time refining the formula. Adjusting. Testing. Reworking. Pushing for better ingredients. Tweaking undertones that didn’t exist anywhere else at the time as back then, most foundation ranges stopped at 12 shades. Undertones were limited. If you didn’t fit into a narrow box, you were expected to just “make it work.”, and that never sat right with me.
So we stretched ourselves financially in ways that, honestly, almost broke us. Not impulsively. Not recklessly. But because I couldn’t bring myself to release something I wasn’t 100% proud of. It meant a huge credit card debt. It meant sleepless nights. It meant risk. But it also meant integrity and pride.
We still have a way to go with our shade range, and I’ll always be transparent about that. But we’ve done everything physically possible within the finances (and credit limits) available to us at each stage. And we will continue to expand responsibly as we grow.
So to now see Witchcraft Foundation recognised by The Vegan Beauty Awards with a Certificate of Excellence feels like validation for every difficult decision made along the way and those sleepless nights wondering how to make our repayments almost seem to disappear.
Louise Jane described it as “in a league of its own” and praised its skincare infused formula and seamless, radiant finish.Reading that and knowing what this product took to bring into the world, it meant more than I can explain.
Witchcraft isn’t just a foundation to me,It’s proof that small, independent, fully vegan brands can create something exceptional, even when the odds (and budgets) are stacked against them.
We’re just getting started. 🖤
