Imbolc: A Quiet Beginning

Imbolc: A Quiet Beginning

Table of Contents

Imbolc marks the gentle turning of the year, a moment between winter and spring where the light begins to return. Traditionally celebrated at the start of February, it’s a time for clearing, soft intention, and tending the small sparks that will grow in the months ahead.

You don’t need elaborate rituals to honour Imbolc. Light a candle. Open a window. Clear a surface. Take a moment to reflect on what you’re ready to nurture and what you’re ready to release.

Imbolc reminds us that growth doesn’t arrive all at once. It begins quietly, patiently, with care.

However you choose to mark it, may this season bring clarity, warmth, and a sense of gentle renewal.

As with all rituals, even the smallest acts, how we prepare, how we adorn, how we show up for ourselves  can be a way of marking change with intention.
