How to Care for Your Occult Ink Pot Pomades

Your Occult Ink Pot Pomades are richly pigmented, smooth to apply, and designed for precision. Like all potted gel formulas, they perform best when treated with care. A little attention to storage and sealing will help keep your ink pots in their best condition for as long as possible.

Occult Ink Pots are semi gel formulas. Some of the ingredients that give them their smooth texture and long wear performance are sensitive to air exposure. When left exposed, these elements can slowly evaporate, causing the product to firm up over time.

This isn’t a fault  it’s simply the nature of high performance potted products.

Ritual Care Instructions:

1. Keep the Foil Seal

Each ink pot is protected by a foil seal beneath the lid. Once opened, I personally find it beneficial to keep the foil seal tucked inside the lid rather than discarding it. This creates an extra barrier against excess air exposure and helps keep the pomade workable for longer.

2. Always Close the Lid Tightly After Use

This is the most important step. Make sure the lid is fully secured after every use. Even a slightly loose lid allows air in, which can dry the pomade prematurely.

3. Store in a Cool, Stable Place

Store your ink pots away from direct heat and sunlight. A drawer or cool shelf is ideal. Avoid leaving them near radiators, windows, or in hot makeup bags.

If Your Ink Pot Begins to Firm Up:

If your pomade starts to feel drier over time, this doesn’t mean it’s unusable.

• A very small amount of eye safe mixing medium or oil can help soften the texture.
• Use sparingly a tiny drop is usually enough.
• Gently warming the closed pot between your hands before use can also help make product pickup easier.
• You can pop your product on top of a radiator ( or blast very quickly with a hairdryer), but care must be taken not to let the product melt as this will ruin the formulation.
