Doom Paints

Oil-Based Corpse Paint, Gothic Face Paint & Stage Makeup

Doom Paints are highly pigmented, oil-based face paint sticks created for corpse paint, gothic makeup, drag, festivals, performance and theatrical looks.

The creamy formula applies directly from the stick and blends easily with a brush, sponge or fingertips. Build each shade from smudged shadow to solid, opaque colour without needing to activate it with water.

Unlike water-activated face paints, oil and grease-based formulas remain flexible on the skin rather than drying completely. This helps prevent the dry, tight feeling associated with some traditional face paints, but it also means Doom Paints must be set properly to reduce movement and transfer.

  • Rich, high-impact pigmentation

  • Creamy oil-based formula

  • Buildable, blendable coverage

  • No water activation required

  • Convenient stick format

  • Designed for corpse paint, stage makeup and creative artistry

  • Vegan and cruelty-free

How to Apply

Apply Doom Paint directly to clean, dry skin or pick up the colour using a brush or sponge.

Blend and shape the paint while the formula remains workable. Apply additional thin layers where greater opacity is needed rather than using one very thick layer.

For sharp details, allow the base layer to settle before applying lines or contrasting colours with a small brush.

Setting Your Doom Paint

Oil-based face paints do not fully dry down by themselves. If left unset, the colour will remain creamy and may smudge, crease or transfer onto clothing and other surfaces.

For better wear:

  1. Press a generous layer of translucent setting powder over the painted area using a powder puff or dense sponge.

  2. Allow the powder to sit briefly before gently brushing away the excess.

  3. Add more powder to any areas that still feel tacky.

  4. Finish with a suitable makeup fixing spray where desired.

Setting spray alone may not be enough to prevent transfer from an oil-based formula. Powder is the most important step.

Even when properly set, some movement or transfer may still occur—particularly during prolonged wear, in warm conditions or where the skin rubs against clothing.

Removal

Break down the paint using an oil-based makeup remover, cleansing balm or cleansing oil. Massage gently into the skin, remove with a soft cloth or reusable pad, then follow with your usual facial cleanser.

Avoid scrubbing the skin or attempting to remove the paint using water alone.

Please Note

  • Oil-based paints remain flexible and must be set with powder

  • Apply in thin layers for the most even finish

  • Dark or highly pigmented shades may temporarily stain the skin

  • Pigment and oil may mark clothing, costumes, towels and bedding

  • Keep painted areas away from pale fabrics where possible

  • Check individual product information for approved areas of use
