Charitable Donations & other Friday musings....

VE Cosmetics have been invited to The House of Lords as a part of Small Business Britain, however I’ve declined the invitation.
I wanted to tell you all as I’m extremely proud of what we are achieving as an independent brand, but after visiting Parliament with The League Against Cruel Sports last year I cannot step foot back in that building. The sheer cost of upkeep of that place and all the gold and art in that building while people starve and freeze makes me feel sick. I won’t get political but it’s a disgusting show of wealth/Power and that whole system is not fit for purpose. I just can’t celebrate it by being part of that ceremony/party it doesn’t sit right with me.
I therefore decided to donate the money that would have been used for travel to charity where it would be put to much better use. After discussions were had on our Facebook group about potential charities, the one that stuck out to me was  https://jessiesfund.org.uk/
Jessies Fund are a small UK music therapy charity supporting child with complex needs. They don't receive any government funding so are reliant on donations and fundraising. We therefore decided that the £121.91 would go direct to them and this has been paid direct today (Receipt as Featured image) .
