Why Our Gel Eyeliner Pencils Feel Softer Than Traditional Eyeliners
Why Our Gel Eyeliner Pencils Feel Softer Than Traditional Eyeliners
Not all eyeliner pencils perform the same way.
At VE Cosmetics, our eyeliner pencils are designed to glide on smoothly with strong pigment payoff, rather than dragging across the skin like a firmer traditional pencil can. That softer feel is part of the formula by design.
Our gel style eyeliner pencils are made to give a creamier, smoother application, which makes them ideal for bold colour, easy blending, and comfortable wear.
Why the Formula Feels Softer
Traditional eyeliner pencils are often firmer and drier, which can help them hold a sharper point but can also make them feel less smooth on application. Our formula is different. It is designed to be softer and more flexible, giving the liner a smoother glide and stronger colour payoff with less dragging on the skin.
That means you may notice:
-
a creamier texture
-
easier application
-
high pigment payoff
-
a softer tip than a traditional firm pencil
This is completely normal and part of how the product is meant to perform.
Why the First Tip Can Sometimes Snap
Because this is a softer gel style pencil, the initial factory point can sometimes be more delicate than customers expect, especially after transit.
This does not usually mean the product is faulty, it simply means the pencil may need sharpening before first use to create a fresh point.Once sharpened, the product should perform as intended.
How to Get the Best Performance
To get the best from a softer eyeliner pencil:
-
sharpen before first use if needed
-
avoid sharpening the tip too long or too fine
-
use gentle pressure during application
-
if the pencil feels especially soft, chill it for 10–15 minutes before sharpening
These small steps help keep the point stable while still allowing for that smooth gel style application.
A Softer Pencil, By Design
We chose this style of formula because we wanted a liner that feels smoother and more effortless to apply, with rich colour and a more comfortable glide.
So if our eyeliner pencil feels softer than a traditional pencil, that is not a flaw, it is part of the performance. A softer pencil gives you smoother application, stronger payoff, and a more gel-like feel on the skin.
