VE Cosmetics is the darkly inspired brainchild of Lynsey, known to many as VioletEyes.
A proud AuDHD vegan living with OCD, CPTSD, Tourette’s, Ehlers–Danlos Syndrome, and Fibromyalgia, Lynsey has always walked a path paved with honesty, compassion, and rebellion. She believes in the power of community, in lifting others up, and in weaving a little magick into the mundane. Her ethos is simple yet radical: "we are here to help one another and to do no harm in the process".
Armed with a degree in Biochemistry and Medical Physics, Lynsey spent years working as a clinical scientist before the call of creative freedom became too loud to ignore. Her alter ego, VioletEyes, graced the pages of countless alternative magazines, where she spoke boldly for animal rights and regularly auctioned her modelling wardrobe to raise funds for animal rescues.
But behind the glamour was frustration. The makeup used on set was rarely vegan or cruelty-free. Lynsey began bringing her own kit refusing to compromise her ethics for the sake of vanity. That small act of rebellion became the spark that lit the cauldron… and VE Cosmetics was conjured from that very fire.
In 2014, during her pregnancy, Lynsey retired from modelling and poured everything, every penny, every dream, into building a brand that honoured her beliefs. Thus, VE Cosmetics was born: unapologetically gothic, fully vegan, fiercely cruelty-free, and unwavering in its mission to create high-quality, inclusive beauty.
Behind the scenes, Lynsey offered her scientific expertise to other manufacturers for free, helping them reformulate with vegan alternatives and encouraging a wider shift toward ethical beauty. Her influence opened doors not only for VE, but for countless indie brands seeking a cruelty-free path.
What began as one woman’s stand against compromise has become a movement.

🐇We refuse to purchase ingredients from suppliers who engage in animal testing.
💚Since our launch on 01.06.2015, no product has ever included ingredients tested on animals and no finished product ever will.
🐇We also refuse to sell in countries where animal testing is required by law.
