How to Care for Your Occult Ink Pot Pomades

Protect the ink. Preserve the magic. Your Occult Ink Pot Pomades are richly pigmented, smooth to apply, and designed for precision. Like all potted gel formulas, they perform best when treated with care. A little attention to storage and sealing will help keep your ink pots in their best condition for as long as possible. Occult Ink Pots are semi gel formulas. Some of the ingredients that give them their smooth texture and long wear performance are sensitive to air exposure. When left exposed, these elements can slowly evaporate, causing the product to firm up over time. This isn’t a fault it’s simply the nature of high performance potted products. Ritual Care Instructions: 1. Keep the Foil Seal Each ink pot is protected by a foil seal beneath the lid. Once opened, I personally find it beneficial to keep the foil seal tucked inside the lid rather than discarding it. This creates an extra barrier against excess air exposure and helps keep the pomade workable for longer. 2. Always Close the Lid Tightly After Use This is the most important step. Make sure the lid is fully secured after every use. Even a slightly loose lid allows air in, which can dry the pomade prematurely. 3. Store in a Cool, Stable Place Store your ink pots away from direct heat and sunlight. A drawer or cool shelf is ideal. Avoid leaving them near radiators, windows, or in hot makeup bags. If Your Ink Pot Begins to Firm Up: If your pomade starts to feel drier over time, this doesn’t mean it’s unusable. A very small amount of eye safe mixing medium or oil can help soften the texture. Use sparingly a tiny drop is usually enough. Gently warming the closed pot between your hands before use can also help make product pickup easier. A tiny change in brow shape can lift the eye, soften the face, sharpen the bone structure, or turn a simple makeup look into something theatrical. This guide is not about correcting your natural brows. Your face is not wrong. This is about understanding how brow shape works, so you can choose whether you want your brows to feel soft, strong, gothic, dramatic, feminine-leaning, masculine-leaning, or completely otherworldly. Softer brows can create: a gentler expression a more lifted face a softer eye area a more feminine leaning effect a romantic, ethereal or delicate look For a softer effect, the aim is usually to keep the brow lifted, diffused and gently structured. This does not mean your brows need to be thin or overly arched. A soft brow can still be full, dark, gothic and expressive, the difference is in the placement, pressure and edge. A slightly lifted tail can help the eyes appear more open, while a softer front keeps the expression less severe. Tiny hair-like strokes often look more natural than drawing one solid block of colour. Stronger brows can create: more structure more intensity a bolder expression a more masculine leaning effect a sharper gothic or editorial look For a stronger or more masculine leaning effect, brows are often kept fuller, straighter and less lifted.
