Nightshade is an intensely pigmented black Lip Drip scattered with holographic sparkle, creating an inky, glass-like lip illuminated by tiny flashes of rainbow light.

Deep and unapologetically gothic, the black base delivers dramatic colour without needing a black lipstick underneath. As the light moves, holographic particles flash through blue, green, gold, purple and red — like something celestial caught inside the darkness.

Unlike Hemlock, which uses a clear base to transform the colour beneath it, Nightshade brings the darkness with it. The photographs show Nightshade worn completely on its own.

Inspired by the infamous Deadly Nightshade plant and its long association with poison, folklore and witchcraft, this shade captures its dangerous allure in name and inspiration only. Nightshade contains no Deadly Nightshade plant material or poisonous botanical ingredients.

Presented in an ornate, wearable vial, Nightshade blurs the line between makeup and artefact. Wear it as gothic jewellery with a cord or chain, or display it on your vanity like the forbidden little potion it appears to be.

How to Wear

Apply directly to bare lips for an intensely glossy black finish scattered with holographic sparkle.

Start with a thin layer and build where needed. Nightshade contains enough pigment to create a dramatic black lip on its own, while additional layers intensify both the depth and shine.

For a more defined shape, pair with a black lip liner before application.

This is so beautiful. Its quite opaque so I tend to sheer it out with a clear lipgloss. On its own its non-sticky and comfortable to wear. The green to blue shift is everything!

This is a great lipgloss - very pretty! It sits well on the lips, lasts, it's hydrating, and it feels substantial and not too thin, but it's not sticky. The shade Brugmansia gives a lovely golden sheen that's perfect as a topper or as an office friendly gloss by itself. I love the fact that there is no glitter grit and no perfume or weird cheap smell. It just...does not really have a scent that I can detect, which is great. Packaging - super pretty though it looks and feels a bit on closer look and there are some rough edges. The applicator end is a bit too small and flimsy for my taste. However, the whole thing looks cute, and I like the product inside, so it's fine. Just don't expect Christian Laboutin ;)
